Board Meeting Minutes

Wednesday, April 13, 2026

The meeting was called to order by President Carol Mercer @ 6:28.

Members present were Diane Chandler, Robin Geralds, Linda Lea, Leslie Lehman, and Carol Mercer. Not present were Tiff Griswold, David Lea, and Doug White.

There were no announcements.

Recognition of public and comments, Warren Trotter was present.

Reading and approval of minutes: Linda made the motion to approve the minutes, it was seconded by Diane, motion carried.

Correspondence: $500 from Sonshine Corner was given for FLIP, free lunch program.

Treasurer's Report: The report was given by Linda.

Acceptance of Treasurer's Report and authorization to pay upcoming bills was made by Diane, it was seconded by Leslie, motion carried.

Librarian's Report: Cook the Book is this Thursday, April 16, the book clubs have been meeting, the Pinterest Club made wreaths, and the Beta Club members have been working on service hours.

Old Business: the yearly Sexual Harassment Training will be done by the staff, director, and board. The summer reading program will begin with registration on Thursday, May 28 and conclude on July 16, It will be held on Thursdays at 2:00. The theme is Read-Play-Win. The written evaluations have been turned in, and a verbal discussion is scheduled.

New Business: The Budget Committee will meet on Monday, April 27 @ 3:00. Non-Resident library cards were discussed. Linda made a motion to charge $60, it was seconded by Diane, motion carried. The change will begin July 1. Statements of Economic Interest need to be completed.
